Cover page must provide title of the presentation; presenter and their contact information; additional author's name(s), company affiliation(s), and city and state; preferred presentation type (poster/oral/demo); classification level of final presentation; and unlimited release 35-word abstract. If a computer demonstration is proposed, please indicate the objectives of the demonstration and the results the user may expect. Presentation titles and 35 word abstracts will be printed in the TIM Brochure and must be approved as unlimited release.
The summary must include sufficient information to permit a meaningful technical review. Of particular interest are: purpose of the work, significant new results, and contribution to the state of the art. Submissions can be unlimited release, ITAR/OUO, and up to Secret Restricted Data. Authors are encouraged to submit classified summaries if required to permit an accurate technical review of the paper. The classification level or trade restrictions should be clearly marked on each page of the summary.
Prepare your summary in single-column, or IEEE Transactions on Nuclear Science (TNS) standard two-column format, using 11 point or greater font size. The summary must be typed on 8 1/2" x 11" paper with 1" margins on all sides. Failure to adhere to the page limit, deadlines, or other rules could result in the paper being rejected.
Summary Release Approval
All summaries must be submitted with an approval for release to reviewers and HEART attendees from your sponsor or company (if your own company is sponsoring your work). This release can be through an official process within your organization/company or you can use the generic HEART Release Approval form. Summaries will not be accepted without appropriate release approval documentation. It is the responsibility of the author(s) to obtain and provide release approval documentation.
